Looooooooooooonnnnnng weekend

Its going to be a very long weekend this time with monday being off as well :). Couple of Ash's friends, Marisha and Siddhartha, had dropped by on their way to Rochester. Had lunch by the lake and then lazed around for some more time. Got my first assignment and thats certainly not a good thing. :( Couple of sank's friends Parshu and Harsha also landed up and the first effect is that Sank has returned to the fold :) vip joined him soon after.

The people outside on the streets of buffalo on friday night had to be seen to be believed. Its as if the whole town just comes alive all of a sudden on fridays.

Crashed early with the noble intention of getting up early to finish up some work this weekend. Its another matter that when my eyes opened next it was 12. Went to the lab with vips to get some work done. And thats exactly what happened. I got "some" work done. :) But it was good to catch up with friends. Vips, I and soray decided to watch "Garden State". Its the first movie I have watched in buffalo and while the hall isnt something to write home about its still pretty good. Its a pretty good movie with a sprinkling of every theatrical element thrown in for good measure.

vips, soray and me came back and decided to play cricket. We found a perfect spot for our pitch and went about it with gusto. Wish we had discoverd the spot when the rsf reunion had taken place. sigh... It brought back memories... Needless to say that some time into the game people were throwing themselves about and hurling themselves at the ball. :)

Trotted around to 122 where biryani was waiting for us. Azmi and Mal had made the biryani and as vips put it succintly "Good food, will eat." It topped off a perfectly good day :) Eating biryani, listening to some good music, and listening to jason tell us stories of his days in spain.... it was all good :)

well didnt expect such support from unexpected quarters. Thanx homi for the support and good to hear from you. :)

Well pinku thanks for the support man. I always knew I could count on you. U cant fault kosh much though, he tends to view it from his point of view and u can imagine kosh dancing can't u ;) However, I have to tell you that you basing ur decision on my cricketing abilities on rusty form. Furthermore, you lost all your rights to comment on cricket after homi, yes folks u heard it right .. homi, thrashed you in cricket. :)

bunty.. ur comments dont carry any weight cos u jus learnt to hold the cricket bat properly last month.... u plzz refrain from passing comments on it..... as far the rsf reunion matches are concerned... well i did regain my touch in the test matches.... n i dont expect u to know bunty.... test match cricket is REAL cricket... anyone can hit 'phattes' in one day but it takes class to score in tests as shown by ur dismal scores in the test matches....

Arul... i cant wait to take u up on ur challenge on cric now tht u 'claim' tht u have gained form......

and to the 2 ton whale... since u dont n cant move n neither play anything.. i jus wanna inform u tht cricket is a sport thats pretty popular in india.. so hope tht solves ur confusion....

pinks..

i must agree.. test cricket is the real deal.. as for the argument of who is in form and who isn't.. i think that can only be resolved at the next RSF reunion when we play again.. consistency is the true indicator!

Agree with you on the test cricket comment pinks. As for form and rematch, I cant wait for it as well as the sledging. Bring it on. :) As for the two ton whale Im sure he needs more than that short primer from u pinks to solve his confusions ;)
