Blustery Thursday
As if taking the cue from my last post the weather has changed in the last few days. Its getting dark way early arnd 5.00 in the evening and the rain has been persisting throughout. The bright side of it is the scenery which is beautiful. Gray skies, steady rain, bare trees as all the leaves fall off and it adds a scenic feel to the whole place.
Vips giving his driving test today. He rented out a car and we went about doing all the things that can be done only when u have a car around. That included a trip to walmart first of all. Havent seen a store as big as this before and whats more they have every possible item available there including guns !!!!! Now thats not something you expect your neighbourhood store to stock up. Stopped by to pick up some doughnuts and saw the assembly line which keeps rolling out these doughnuts. Couldnt decide which was more fascinating, the doughnuts or the assembly line. The dilemma was solved the moment I bit into the first doughnut. It won hands down. Btw, im sure the pinkster would have been thrilled to see the assembly line. Brought back memories of the automatic roti assembly line. :)
Came back and decided to go out for dinner. Went to this place where you have these huge burgers and must say was filling. They had a great collection of memorabilia with rare rock posters, cartoon posters and other such stuff. Had a great time.
Returned home, finished off some pending work and got down to playing LOTR Monopoly. Its the same old Monopoly with the LOTR touch thrown in. The characters, the places and even the houses have got transformed. One big change is the introduction of "The Ring" whose presence in each property has an effect on the outcome. The Ring starts its journey from "Bag End" and moves all the way to "Mount Doom" whereupon the game ends. A nice addition to the game. Played two games through the night before crashing off to sleep.

Well..I happened 2 attend an online Monopoly conference yesterday....really very informative..was takin down notes at jet speed...players were also ready...only thing remaining was 4 referee 2 blow the whistle...;)
Good to hear from u pinku. Ki haal hai sirji. Kabhi phone kar diya karo. :) And yes, how do u expect me to forget that "damned" roti line. ;) It was one big operation ... so many players were involved. Calling it "damned" is going to sadden people like Sukha, Dhiman and not to mention yours truly ;)
Well deeps, good to hear that u been taking notes on Monopoly ;). It comes as a pleasant surprse as I was under the impression that its a game only for kids. ;)
