Night-outs and all tat :)
Well this had to happen.. didnt it. After the rise comes the fall. As it turns out the project ran into trouble on submission day as interpretations of the problem statement of us and the prof seemed to be at loggerheads. Two sleepless nights and bloodshot eyes later I still am not fully convinced about the difference in interpretation. A hundred code changes later we still are not sure. A pretty sad state of affairs to be precise. Hoping things resolve pretty soon.
One upshot of all this is the comfort from knowing that some three years later I still can pull off a couple of nights on the trot. ;) Some consolation this, but in these times of constant work every little source of inspiration helps drive the academic machine forward. :p
Well I'll leave you with a little something from Metallica. :) In times like these there is absolutely no substitute for Metallica..
For Whom The Bell Tolls
Make his fight on the hill in the early day
Constant chill deep inside
Shouting gun, on they run through the endless gray
On they fight, for they are right, yes, but who's to say?
For a hill, men would kill. Why? They do not know
Suffered wounds test their pride
Men of five, still alive through the raging glow
Gone insane from the pain that they surely know
For whom the bell tolls
Time marches on
For whom the bell tolls
Take a look to the sky just before you die
It's the last time he will
Blackened roar, massive roar, fills the crumbling sky
Shattered goal fills his soul with a ruthless cry
Stranger now are his eyes to this mystery
He hears the silence so loud
Crack of dawn, all is gone except the will to be
Now they see what will be, blinded eyes to see
For whom the bell tolls
Time marches on
For whom the bell tolls
