Weekend Part 2 :)
Its time to write about the second leg of the weekend trips we made. After the journey to Pittsburgh we were to go to Letchworth State Park the next day and the whole idea was to go hiking a bit along the trails there. This time we did get an early start and left at around 8.30 and reached the park at around 9.30 or so. The journey to the park was simply awesome as we went by local smaller roads instead of the normal freeways, cutting across villages and the scenery was breathtaking. It was well worth it to be driving at a slower pace given the lower speed limits to be able to take in the early morning scenery.
Once we reached the Park we found out that the waterfalls that we had wanted to go to was way across the other end. Drove all the way to the other end of the park and parked the car and then set out on the hike. Again it was just Soray, Sank, Nats and me as Vipul dropped out on account of some work. Soray and me found sticks for ourselves from the woods and set out. Saw some deers as we cut across the park woods instead of the road. As we went further along the trail we came across these two small stream waterfalls that cut across the trail. It brought back memories of a certain other place all across the world just outside the bustling city of Mumbai. Malshej Ghat.... Nag, Deeps, Phal and others should remember that little trip. The waterfalls here were smaller in intensity compared to those but the fun was still the same and it was great fun climbing across the sides holding on to the vines for support to reach the mouth of the waterfall, wet as it was. ;)
We couldnt take the much anticipated trip across the railroad which is pretty high as it was offlimits for some work that is going on right now. Turned back at that point and we returned in time to listen to the Bills game on the radio and they were doing pretty well for a change. Beginning to pick up the game a bit now. ;) We reached home and watched them complete a pretty satisfactory win. Sank and Vips crashed soon after leaving me and Soray to catch up on other games. The highlight was this little trick field goal/ touchdown pass that the Patriots, or thats what I think is the name of the team is, did. Me and Soray went to the APL to get some work done and played a bit of football on the way to the library. Finally understood that the fundamentals of all ball games are the same. Never fear the ball, always keep your eyes on the ball and get your body behind the line of the ball. Sounds familiar guys... cricket .. hockey.. yup.. the rules for all ball games are the same. That brought an end to what must certainly have been the best ever weekend we have had this fall. Here is to more such weekends... That is all for now folks.. Work has hit back with a vengeance and I have to get back to lock horns with it again. ;) Over and out ........

Good memories indeed deeps:) It was one beautiful trip to Malshej Ghat and as for missing some of the action .. i have only one thing to say.. i was blissfully unaware and to this day maintain that it was perhaps better that way.
Well Soray i guess the parts of the trips that i did catch were good and as they say what you dont know cant hurt u ;) I remember staying awake during the country roads and sleeping through the expressways which to me seems a pretty good bargain ;).
