AudioBlogging Primer
It was shiv who told me that since I had termed this concept audioblogging, most people were under the impression that these are being recorded on the pc and then posted. :) A couple of others had dropped by wanting to know how its done. Just wanted to clear the air, so to speak, and so here it is, the audioblogging primer. :)
First you have to set up an account at www.audioblogger.com, with your existing blogger id and password. You have to select the phone number from which you shall be posting the audio blogs and you also have to select a PIN consisting of numbers. Once all this is set up you are all set to go. You also have to select the blog onto which you want the audio blogs posted. This applies if you have more than one blog. :)
The concept is pretty simple. To post an audio blog you now have to call the number listed at audioblogger from the phone that you selected while creating the account and then once you input the pin you can go ahead and speak into your phone as you normally would. The audioblogger server at the other end of the line will record your conversation as an mp3 and automatically post it onto your blog. Remember no title or other data gets posted. Only the link to the mp3 gets posted. You can always edit the post at some later time. :)
That is it. Finalement, a mini mini howto on my blog. I never thought the day wud come when I would write a technical how to on this blog. WE all learn with time i guess. :)

I never thought the day wud come when I would write a technical how to on this blog. What an irony! Aren't you the same geeky Arul, or has Buffalo changed you!!!
heheh rite .. :) I knew something would be forthcoming from you when I wrote that. Yes I am fond of technology and do get a kick out of it.:) But I do love writing gen stuff, stories.. and an occasional dab at poetry if i am feeling daring enough. Frankly reading and writing remains my first love and was into it even before I got involved with comps. ;)
Its just tat when I started this blog and was making the decision to keep it either technical or non technical I had decided no technical stuff, no linux howtos, no exploits and stick to general life. Well old habits die hard :p
Well I guess each place does change you. So Im guessing Buffalo has changed me in some ways, but not yet to the extent kgp did. :p
