Stray Thoughts !!
Have been feeling out of sorts these last few days. Have been trying desperately to get a grip on things. :) I guess sometimes life is like this ;) There are some days when things just dont feel right, but you will be hard pressed to come up with a reason. Perhaps on days like these you just need to let go. Slept off on the bus on my way to the shift and had one of the most blissful sleep in recent times :) You might be surprised to know wat a 20 min nap can do for your day.
A couple of conversations struck me over the last few days. :) Have been reminded of tat brilliant piece of work from Douglas Adams, "The HitchHiker's Guide to the Galaxy". To quote a certain phrase that is just as thought provoking as it is hilarious. After being shown a very simple solution by a machine the following conversation takes place between Vroomfondle and Magikthise. :)
"Now thats what I call thinking. Here Vroomfondle why do we never think of things like that?"
"I dunno, think our minds must be too highly trained Magikthise."
Is it just me or the more you learn and the more time you spend with books the more rigid your outlook becomes, you look for what someone succintly termed as "complex solutions" to what are essentially "simple problems". Sometimes you just have to step back from the problem, view it with a very simple outlook and you might find an equally simple answer staring back at you all the while. :)
While I was searching for this particular quotes, came across a few others from the same book. A few nice ones ..
"Life was held in contempt of court for being neither beautiful nor true, and was promptly confiscated from everyone present."
"In the beginning the Universe was created. This has made a lot of people very angry and been widely regarded as a bad move."
"Many were increasingly of the opinion that they'd all made a big mistake in coming down from the trees in the first place. And some said that even the trees had been a bad move, and that no one should ever have left the oceans."

The same thoughts have been crossing my mind lately. Why is it that learning makes us more less smart? I see myself contradiction many times, because sometimes I think with my own brains while some other times I think with the acquired brain from the education. Huh.. life's a chaos.
Btw, in case you didnt know... there is a movie coming up on the book.
