Customer Service !!

I had a taste of what customer service is really all about today. We had managed to render our cable modem that is primarily responsible for the internet useless. We managed to do this while trying to fix one of the fuses that had blown yesterday nite. Talk about cascading problems. After we fix the fuse we find out that the net is down and we are having to live off, for want of a better word, "borrowed" bandwidth.

So we decide to call the cable company to see if we could get a replacement. A phone call later we make the trip downtown to their local office to see if we could swap the equipment. It was hard to believe tat all it took was for us to handover the faulty equipment and we were handed a new one .. no questions asked. I find it hard to imagine a similar scenario back home. Now this is what you call customer service and in a way you got to admire the company.

Am at work and there isnt much to do as usual. ;) Have had to do some routine maintenance before retiring to my desk .. looking around .. and having another go at stickcricket. ;)
