Reached Columbus
Finally made it to Columbus on Saturday morning after a six hour journey made lively by the presence of an eccentric driver who entertained us with his wit. ;) We finally reached Columbus at around 8:00 in the morning and pinku as usual was sleeping totally unaware of our visit. All our attempts to wake him up prove futile and there we are standing outside his house hoping someone hears our knocks. And then to compound matters further the snow gods decide that since we are from Buffalo a proper welcome to Columbus would be incomplete without a dash of snow. :) Thankfully Ankan, a fellow mechie from kgp and now pinku's roommate responded to our calls and finally let us in. Needless to say pinku was pretty surprised ;)
The rest of the morning was spent in catching up with pinku's stories and trust me there are lots .. :p If u reading this koshy we shall talk soon :) We went around Ohio State University campus taking in the sights and sounds, the sights in particular which are definitely worth seeing. :p We decided to relive those moments of undergrad days when we decided to convert a racquet court in the local gym into a makeshift cricket pitch. Two and half hours of intense cricket, characterised by the typical diving, bruising and friendly banter, later we went back to the lake to grab a bit of breath and watch the pretty birds in and around the lake ;)
Came back to pinku's place for a breather before leaving for the Pink Floyd concert which is a story in itself. The music was great with the opening band playing Deep Purple, Kashmir by Led Zeppelin (which was stunning) before the main band came on stage to play Floyd. This wasnt a big theater, more like a small place where 250 odd people came to enjoy the music and more. ;) The band played Floyd really well and the scene progressively got wilder as time progressed. Left at around midnite back home. Pinku made some amazing food.. and crashed at around 5 in the morning only to get up again at 7. Its been an amazing time so far.. It should be another great two days.. Ill put the audio posts later.. :) Over and out
